I know what it's like to travel. The hell of logging the bags for hours , and the claustrophobia of being jammed in the plane with over a hundred people. People who has never flown on a plane might think it's the most awesome thing ever, I assure you it's not. The chaos of going through security and hours of waiting to board drowns up all your excitement. The process of traveling is pain in the butt however the destination, that's where all the fun is.
2008, the moment I got off the plane I was hypnotized by the beauty of Big Island Hawaii. Pink, orange, yellow, red hibiscus perfume the humid air as the warm breeze gracefully dance with the leaves that hung down from the columns of tall palm trees. My first trip to Hawaii I smell the salty sea, stood on the sandy beach, and played in the warm clears ocean that welcomed me in. I saw the lava oozing from Kilauea, one of the worlds most active volcanoes in the world.Sandy beaches, snow scraper mountains, waterfalls, rain forest and botanical gardens, I saw them all. Last day on the island I was given a shell necklace by hula girls, I watched them and the boys Hula dance and play with fire. 2009, I traveled to Mexico. There I flew across the lake on a zipline and I fed the alligators too. I climbed an ancient in pyramid and learned the history of Mayans.I also snorkels inside a cave for the first time and was a little bit scared. I swam in a ocean that was topaz blue and crystal clear. I slept in a hammock for the first time and dance past bedtime listening to live Mexican music.
2010 ,Australia here we come! Expensive but definitely worth it. There I went to a zoo and petted a kangaroo and held a koala bear. My brother and my mom ate a kangaroo and a crocodile and I learn how to throw a boomerang. I snorkeled in the Coral Reef and saw a whole new world under the sea. Life under the sea is unexplainable, one needs to see it for himself to truly understand its beauty
2011 I traveled to Peru. Thousands of motorcycles zipped up and down the uneven road. Skinny cats and dogs scattered about the town searching for food. Each corner people desperately begged tourist to buy their products. Even though the country was poverty- struck it was still beautiful and exotic. Here I climbed Machu Picchu and learned the history of the 15-century Incan city. Then I sailed South America's largest lake ,Lake Titicaca. I also went to the Peruvian Amazon, rain one day, sun another, regardless hot ,humid and damp all the time. There I learned the true meaning of “peace”. No cell phones, cars or computer just nature. Everything was exotic, the food, the people, animals, and even the smell were new to all five of my senses. One night we took a stroll on a boat out on the lake, birds and crickets chirped, Owens hooed and wind woodshed all synchronizing with each other making a peaceful melody.
The sun was completely down and looking up at the sky lied the Milky Way. Trail of billions of stars shone brighter than all hardest diamonds and all the cities lights combined. I loved it there so much that I cried when I had to leave. 2012, I took a Celebrity Cruise to Argentina and Antarctica. On this cruise I became a princess for two and a half weeks. My favorite waiter made me delicious food everyday and my room was clean with a piece of chocolate on the pillow of a freshly made bed. Even though my brother and I were probably the only teenagers on the cruise I had loads of fun listening to old music and stuffing ourselves with food. In Argentina tall Spanish buildings lied in every corner and they were old and each of them had a character. They were carefully detailed and they looked more like art than apartments. Hundreds of people strolled around the city and there was vibe that felt welcoming. I went to a ranch and I watched Argentines dance, and they made us delicious sausage and potatoes for lunch. When we arrived at Antarctica it was a beautiful summer day. The sun was out and it was 20 degrees weather. The air was frosty and clean and the water was so clear that I could see my reflection in the water better than my bathroom mirror. We glided slowly around the minty icebergs that were whiter than any snow I'd ever seen.2013 and 2014 I went to Kauai and that experience is an another story. 2015, I went on a Mediterranean Cruise. We took the Celebrity Cruise again this time there were lots of people my age. I made friends from Australia, Canada, Greece… and I wanted this trip to never end. I toured Rome and saw the beautiful architect and the coliseum. I went to Greece and saw the city of white and collected sea glass from a very salty beach. We went to Athens, Ephesus, and Pompeii and saw and learned about the ancient ruins. After the cruise we went to Florence, advice never take a train when you have a luggage with two weeks full of clothes. The very next day we took a train to Venice and it definitely was a city of romance. Arched bridges, water and boats in every corner and tall spanish buildings that look like art, it definitely was beautiful. There I also met my two blood brothers. Younger one who was adopted by a family who live two hours outside of Venice and older brother who was visiting from Nepal. To be honest I wasn't ready to meet my brothers but I don't regret for one second that I did. After seven years you would think my brothers would be like strangers, but it was the opposite we clicked with each other within 5 minutes of awkwardness. I was happy to know that he had a wonderful family taking care of him and it was unbearably sad when I had to go home.
In conclusion, the one thing I know best is travel. I've been in the U.S for 7 years and I've traveled to 6/7 continents and I feel more than fortunate. Every time I have to leave a place I get this strange feeling, I not only miss the experiences I miss the person I was at that time and place. Each place I’ve been to holds a sentimental value, they're all unique and each of them have their own character just like people. Even though they're different and unique, they're also all very similar. Every place is beautiful in its own way and that beauty can't be seen nor touched but it can be felt with the heart. Traveling made me become open minded it helped me accept things that are different and question things that I don't understand. The experiences will stay with me forever because each place no matter how far, big, famous, even Arizon is amazing in its own way. Throughout my life I hope nothing more than to travel the world and I can't wait for for my next adventure!
